Spring Meeting 2020

NGG Spring Meeting, 27 March 2020, Nijmegen

Time: 14.00-18.00, preceded by ALV from 12.45-13.45

Location: Radboud University, Erasmus building, Erasmusplein 1, Nijmegen, room 02.05

On March 27th, the NGG Spring Meeting will be hosted at the Radboud university Nijmegen. This years’ theme is ‘Religion and Environment’. In response to environmental challenges, various religious leaders and faith-based organizations formulated statements, drawing on their texts and traditions. Their images of human – nature interaction vary from ‘stewardship’ (in monotheistic traditions) to ‘partnership’ or ‘participation’ (in mystic traditions). The aim of the 2020 Spring Conference is to explore and discuss God – human – nature interaction as an emerging issue in the academic study of religion. We will finish the  Spring Meeting by handing out the Cornelis Tiele MA Thesis Award, for the best MA thesis in Religious Studies written at a Dutch university between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019 - followed by drinks.
